Workshops for Farmers

From Input Dependency to
Ecosystem Vitality

Support your local growers in building climate-resilient landscapes through our intensive two-day workshop

By shifting the focus to ecosystem repair - using the proven frameworks from my Ecological Farming Handbook - we help farmers tackle the root causes of production volatility and move beyond the 'treadmill' of rising input costs.

We provide the tools for farmers to restore water and nutrient cycling, turning production challenges into opportunities for growth. The result? Resilient local food systems that are more profitable, more adaptable to pest outbreaks, and better prepared for an unpredictable climate.

The Climate Wheel of Fortune: Scenario Planning
for Farmers

For many growers, shifting weather patterns have created a "paralysis of preparation." When the climate feels unpredictable, it’s hard to know what to do. This uncertainty leaves our families’ dinner tables at risk and regional food systems vulnerable.

But what if we could manufacture hindsight? What if we could stand ten years in the future, look back at today, and give ourselves the vantage point we’re currently missing?

Our half-day Scenario Planning Workshop replaces "What if?" with "We’re ready," using our interactive Climate Wheel of Fortune. Participants identify "no-regret" moves—smart, simple actions like improving soil or setting up extra water storage—that will help their gardens thrive no matter what the weather does.

From Farmable Dirt to Functioning
Ecosystems

Imagine a farm where robust soil sustains itself while producing a bounty of nutritious food. Many of our soils have been in poor working order for so long that we have forgotten the "free services" a truly healthy system naturally provides. This one-day workshop is designed to bridge that gap. We help regenerative farmers move beyond a "life support" model of constant inputs to a mindset shift that recognizes the soil as a functioning ecosystem.

Participants will learn to manage their land in ways that naturally support the biological communities - microbes and invertebrates - that drive self-sustaining soils. By restoring these living systems, farmers gain a vital buffer against a changing climate, from punishing droughts to floods.

Cost-Effective Drought-Proofing for your Farm

Are your farmers equipped to handle the extremes of the Australian climate? Traditionally, we manage water through infrastructure: more dams, bores, and irrigation technology. While these tools are vital, recent droughts have shown that infrastructure alone is often insufficient.

This one-day workshop expands the farmer's toolkit beyond earthworks—like keyline and leaky weirs—to focus on a critical missing piece: the soil’s ability to function as a living sponge.

By improving soil structure, participants learn to make better use of every drop of water available and gain the know-how to develop practical solutions for their farm.

What People say about our Workshops

"Wendy shows how landholders small or large can adapt to a changing climate without breaking the bank by focusing on the fundamental ecological principles, helping people recognise the journey they want to undertake or clarify where they are at in this point in time.

She shows that to produce food we need to ensure the ecosystems supporting our production systems are functioning. A wonderful start to our 'RegenAG Mentoring Group' webinar journey."

"Wendy was key note speaker at our webinar 'Future Proofing Your Land'. Her excellent publication, “Eco-logical Farming Handbook” was the basis of her presentation. I was impressed with the time and effort Wendy put in to tailoring her presentation to cater for the needs of our audience. Over several meetings, Wendy fashioned a presentation that was well received."

"Wendy’s considerable knowledge of the subject and first hand experience really shone through."
